All 12 CINA employees – achieving the winning percentage rate of 100% – registered for the annual event, which helped to raise-$60,000 donated to the Cayman Heart Fund for the purchase of a new ambulance.
The Deputy Governor Hon Franz Manderson set categories to encourage participation in this annual event by awarding trophies for: Civil Service Department with the most registrants, Civil Service department with the highest participation rate; Statutory Authorities Government owned Corporations (SAGC) with the most registrants;- the SAGC with highest percentage registrants; Private Company with the most registrants and the school with the most registrants.
Director of CINA Kimlon Lawrence happily accepted the DG5K Trophy. “Giving back to the community is interweaved into the fabric of our organization. -As a tightly knit team, one of the ways we bond is through a collaborative effort to contribute in some small way to the Deputy Governor’s ongoing initiative of being a socially responsible Civil Service.”
Deputy Governor Hon. Franz Manderson praised and thanked Mrs. Lawrence and employees for their support. “The overwhelming participation for three years in a row is a testament to your leadership skills. Through your efforts and that of the Civil Service, the Cayman Heart Fund is in the process of ordering a new ambulance.”
